Additional Details

The feature article is a report on the recent Boston Massacre anniversary oration by Benjamin Church. It was held in a "capacious house so thronged with a very respectable assembly . . . that the orator and the honorable John Hancock, Esq., moderator of the meeting, were obliged to be taken in at a window." After the oration, a painting was unveiled featuring a memorial to Crispus Attucks and the other victims of the massacre.
In addition to this stirring call for freedom from oppression, the supplement also features a slave ad on the second page: "Slaves. Wanted a few likely, young negroes, men, women, boys and girls. . . ."
