Additional Details

A satirical British reaction to the Boston Tea Party, published in the London Magazine and soon copied by Paul Revere. An American Indian is attacked by four British ministers, who forcibly pour tea down her throat. "A Frenchman and Spaniard look on, while Britannia weeps. In the foreground a Boston Petition lies torn on the ground, and in the background the British fleet is bombarding Boston"--Cresswell 664. See also Brigham's Revere, pages 117-118.
