Dr. Ernest-Théodore Letersec or Le Tersec (1843-1886) was a French naval doctor who served in French Guiana and elsewhere. His hobby was apparently the study of archaeology. While stationed at Brest, he wrote this study of the earliest inhabitants of America, based on American and French sources.
