first edition in english, translated by the author. An important account of the first Russian circumnavigation of the globe. Expedition commander Krusenstern was the first to press, but did not cover Alaska, as Lisiansky's ship separated from Krusenstern's in the north Pacific. The Russian fort at Sitka, AK had been wiped out by hostile Tlingits, and Lisiansky helped reoccupy the fort before returning to Russia. Also includes a short account of the expedition's 12 days in Hawaii.
