In 1770, a mixed group of German, Danish and English Moravian missionaries founded a mission among the Inuits at Nain, the northernmost settlement in Labrador. This letter describes their journey from England to Canada, including delays caused by carousing sailors in port, and the severe illness of a fellow missionary.
Addressed to Mr. [John G.?] Wollin in London, and signed by the three leaders of the missionary group, Christian Drachardt, Jens Haven, and Steffen Jensen. with--a typed translation of the letter into English.
