Rev. Dr. Leon H. Sullivan, pastor of the Zion Baptist Church of Philadelphia, known by Philadelphians as "The Lion of Zion," was the founder of the National Progress Economic Development Schoo. He also served on the boards of General Motors and the Boy Scouts of America. His development of the Sullivan Principles, a set of ethical guidelines for American companies doing business in South Africa during the days of apartheid was signed onto by 125 corporations.
