Exhibition catalogue for the third of three touring exhibitions launched by the AfriCOBRA art collective between 1970 and 1973. This is the most important primary source on the group's founding and early work. It includes a lengthy introduction on "The History, Philosophy and Aesthetics of Afri-COBRA" by founding member Barbara Jones-Hogu. It also contains 19 black and white illustrations of artworks, plus photographic portraits and short personal statements for the ten artists, including Wadsworth Jarrell, Jae Jarrell, Gerald Williams, and others.
