Robert Blackburn (1920-2003), New Jersey-born artist, teacher, and master printmaker, is best known for his pioneering contributions to the development of abstract color lithography. In 1948 he established a cooperative press, the Printmaking Workshop in New York. There he worked with other artists such as Charles White, experimenting with the medium.
