first and only edition. one of 200 copies, printed at the Bokari Press by Thomas Johnson, Henderson Lee, Junius Usher, and Frank Rouse; bound by "Mr. Liotti." Though this book was purportedly the work of the "Negro and Italian" children of the Playhouse Settlement, it appears from their surnames, that only one was perhaps Indian, Lavelle. The author of the foreword explains that the theme of cowboys and Indians is a part of the fabric of American childhood.
