Additional Details

Godzilla was an influential art collective which fought for increased representation of Asian-American artists, founded in 1990. Their early work was anthologized in a 2021 book. This issue of their newsletter discusses their 1991 protest of the Whitney Biennial, and reprints their 13 May 1991 open letter to the Whitney's curator. OCLC shows only one group of original issues in the United States, at New York University.
