a fine association, with a presentation "from samm to my good friend and mentor tom feelings." Samella Sanders Lewis (Born February 27, 1924, in New Orleans) is an African-American artist (primarily a printmaker), author, and former educator. Widely exhibited and collected as an artist herself, she is perhaps even better known as a historian, critic, and collector of art, especially African-American art. Lewis has completed four degrees, five films, seven books, and a substantial body of artwork. Tom Feelings (1933- 2003) was an artist and illustrator, author, teacher and activist, who through his work, framed the African-American experience. His most famous book is The "Middle Passage."
