Additional Details

one of an edition of only six copies that were cast from the original, carved from a bar of soap by Augusta Savage while attending the National Negro Conference in 1936. This "Youngest Delegate" is one of only six that were cast before an accident caused a small chip to the bar of soap. A second casting was made thereafter. Both editions were small. A copy of the little booklet that accompanied the second edition is included, wherein one can see the "chip" in the illustration for the booklet.
