TWO DRAWINGS FROM "HARTLEY ELEGIES": PRINTER'S DIAGRAM AND A STUDY (ARTISTS.) INDIANA, ROBERT. Two ink or graphite drawings, each Signed, "RI," designs for unnamed works from his Hartley Elegies series. Each signed at lower right, the second in pencil. The first, additionally inscribed, "To: Brand X, New York City / 14.II.91 / Awful storm, no / ferry / so faxing," at upper edge, and at lower edge, "Bob: The very last!," diagram representing portion of screenprint with color-labeled regions and printer's instructions. 13x8½ inches, translucent tracing film; horizontal fold, some minor scattered smudging, Vinalhaven address stamped in ink at upper edge. The second, titled in holograph vertically at left edge, "Hartley Berlin Elegy Diamond VI," sketch showing composition of circles, checkerboard, iron cross, etc. within a diamond shape. 10x9½ inches, brown translucent paper; minor scattered smudging.
