Additional Details

A nice run of the American edition of the London-based enterprise, The Studio, founded by Charles Holme in 1893. It was published in New York by John Lane and Company from May 1897 to 1921, and then by International Studio, Inc, from 1922 until publication ceased in 1931. The American offices had their own editorial staff and the content differed from the English edition, though many articles were reprinted and the mission of promoting the work of new artists, designers, and architects remained constant.
