The album begins with a short printed message "Within these pages are collected through months of service in China various pictures to keep in mind bygone days and rekindle anew old memories of the Asiatic Station" and is signed by the owner. It begins with a quick stop in Hawaii, and then features stays in Japan (Yokohama, Tokyo, Kyoto, and more), China (including Hong Kong, Shanghai, and Beijing), Indonesia (here called the Dutch East Indies, and including Bali, Jakarta, and Java), and finishing in the Philippines (Manila, Laguna, Albay, and more). Silver prints, most of the images measuring 4x3 inches (10.2x7.6 cm.), and slightly smaller, the sheets slightly larger, mounted recto/verso, most pages with captions in white or red pencil.
