Photographs of Lindbergh at the inaugural ceremonies for Transcontinental Air Transport. He played a major role in the planning of this early airline and even served as pilot for its first official flight. Transcontinental soon combined with another airline to form TWA, which more recently merged into American Airlines. Two of the photos show Lindbergh emerging from the plane, while the others show him with luminaries including his wife and actress Gloria Swanson. with--more than 30 later copy prints and transparencies of Lindbergh from various points in his career.
