Additional Details

35 men and 3 women are posed in front of a grandstand, almost all of them more or less ready for action: either wearing a flight suit, goggles, or a parachute, or with the parachute laid at their feet. One young man dressed in black has really entered the spirit of the thing, already wearing a heavy bandage just above his eye. All of the jumpers survived, but Eddie Szula of Elgin, IL suffered serious injuries when his chute failed to open properly.
