A rare and lovely volume illustrated by Barbizon School artists that explores their methods, theories, and styles. Henriet founded the museum at Chateau-Thierry which houses a major collection of Barbizon School paintings and was the author of the first catalogue raisonné of Daubigny's works. The letter by Taiée is to a Mr. Sothey and discusses a design by Chorigny that he encloses [not present]. 1 page, 8vo, horizontal fold. 23 June, nd.
