Sharon Porter (born circa 1947) of New York made her name in show business at age 5 as a performer in the children's television show "Star Time." She made an Apollo appearance in April 1955, opening for Louis Jordan. Offered here are a publicity montage of her Apollo performance, 3 modeling shots by Maury Garber of her with a bottle of Coca Cola (apparently before the first official African-American Coca Cola campaign in 1955), and a 1952 newspaper clipping. The last notice we've tracked from Porter's career was on stage with Lena Horne in 1958.
