"Seventh edition," so called, and likely the third or fourth American edition of Taylor's abridgement of the Bible in verse. Most examples of these early editions are lacking leaves, and this is no exception. Adomeit, Thumb Bibles A153 (lists 5 copies, only one complete); Bristol B2844 (listing 3 copies, all imperfect); Welch 1293.3. Only one other colonial American Thumb Bible has been found at auction in the past twenty years.
