Additional Details

"The Slaughter of Black People Must be Stopped! By Any Means Necessary!" This dramatic poster with a large Panther logo was distributed by the Robert Brown Elliott League of San Francisco, named after a Black member of the Reconstruction Congress. Little is known about the League, but their 540 McAllister Street address was shared by Julian Richardson's bookstore Marcus Books during this period. Only one copy in OCLC. Cleveland State University has a photograph dated July 1970 showing another example of this poster taped to a door.
