Additional Details

The rare Panther "how to" booklet that explained how to make a bomb. This 10 page booklet opens with a summary of what had been happening in the black neighborhoods and the arrests and trials that were under way. At this time Bobby Seale was facing murder charges, Eldridge Cleaver had fled the country, and the Panther's Minister of Culture, Emory Douglas, the artist behind all of the excellent Panther posters was facing five years to life. Following are six illustrated pages of how to take apart and put back together an M14, M16, shotgun, bolt action rifle, pistol and revolver and detailed instructions on how to assemble a "Molotov cocktail." The local and federal officials tried to find and destroy as many copies of this publication as could be found. Possession of a copy was considered "seditious," and people were prosecuted for owning this and other "seditious literature." Needless to say, few of these flyers have survived. This is the first example we have had since these sales began in 1996.
