Additional Details

A very scarce poster gotten up after the brutal murder of 17 year old bobby hutton. hutton was the youngest of the panthers, recruited two years earlier at the age of 15! Two days after the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. Eldridge Cleaver and a dozen other Panthers plotted an ambush on the Oakland police, in retaliation for King's death. Things did not go as planned and a fierce firefight ensued. Two officers were seriously wounded and Cleaver himself was shot. At this point Bobby Hutton surrendered. The police then stripped him down to his underwear to see if he had any hidden weapons. As he got up off the ground, they proceeded to open fire, hitting him 12 times. The police later claimed he attempted to run away. According to Eldridge Cleaver, one Oakland police officer who witnessed the shoot-out later told him: "What they did was first degree murder."
