Additional Details

A typescript of a feature story on Huey Newton, produced for national distribution. The author (best known for his work with the Manson family) was granted access to Newton for an interview at the Panther headquarters, which formed the foundation of the article. The story, heavily edited from this state, ran in the Chicago Tribune Sunday Magazine on 6 December 1970 as "Waiting for Huey." The Hartford Courant ran it three weeks later.
