Additional Details

Ruchell "Cinque" McGee was the sole survivor of what was called the "1970 courthouse slave rebellion" by the Panther community. McGee was on the witness stand when Jonathan Jackson (17 year old brother of Soledad brother George), burst into the court with an AK47. The idea was to free McGee William Christmas, and several others. They took judge Harold Haley with them into a waiting van. Over zealous guards opened fire and riddled the van, killing everyone but McGee, who was now accused of the killing.
