We don't see much from the New York Panthers, and have traced no other examples of these two. The first is dated before the organization of the Black Panther Party for Self-Defense in Oakland in October 1966, and does not name the organization, so the use of the Panther logo must be borrowed from the earlier Lowndes County Freedom Organization. The second mentions the party explicitly. "Unite for Black Power! Support the Harlem School Shutdown," 12 September 1966 "Little Brother, We Hear You are Crying, We Know You Are Hungry . . . We Are On Our Way to Feed You--and the Destroy Forever the Evil Force that Denied You Food for Centuries! . . . The Panthers are Coming!," credited to the Black Panther Party, Harlem, undated but circa 1966? With--another flier from the 12 September 1966 Harlem School strike, not mentioning the Panthers: "Keep I.S. 201 Closed. Why?"
