Three Panthers in uniform are shown with "Free Huey" flags on the steps of the Alameda County Court House. Newton's trial extended from June to September 1968. A copy of the poster is described as hanging on San Francisco's Fillmore Street during this period in Orrick, "Shut it Down!: A College in Crisis," page 92. This poster was produced by Graphic Arts of Marin County, using a 30 July 1968 photograph by Pirkle Jones. None are traced in OCLC or at auction, though one copy is found among the photographer's papers at the University of California at Santa Cruz.
