Additional Details

"Your support is needed for the Children Free Breakfast Program . . . Sponsored by the Black Panther Party." Illustrated with a drawing of a girl wearing a Panther button, and a Panther logo on the bottom edge. This poster was apparently produced in Detroit for distribution across the region, with a blank area to add in local details.
This example has added in manuscript "Send your extra food coupons to: Box 12, University Hall (Campus Mail)." On 29 February 1972, Bowling Green State University near Toledo, OH ran an article in their student newspaper, the BG News, on a talk by the director of the Toledo Black Panthers on this free breakfast program, which had raised $2000 among the student body that past fall. The article listed the "Box 12, University Hall" address for collecting coupon donations.
