Additional Details

Four hymns written by Florrana Sharp Kelsie (1778-1841), a blind widow. The first two describe the deaths of her husband Corydon Kelsie on 25 March of an unknown year, and of her brother-in-law Ansel Kelsie at the Battle of Plattsburgh in 1814. Her parents were from Connecticut and her husband from Vermont, but we do not know where she resided when these hymns were composed. OCLC records 2 copies; none known at auction.
