Gilbert compiled many dozens of magazine articles on Lincoln into these three volumes, binding them with a typescript table of contents in each volume and typeset title pages for the first two volumes. The contents come from Century Magazine, McClure's, Harper's and many more, circa 1895-1909. A few mounted newspaper clippings are also included.
