An album with 23 photographs depicting construction of the Boston subway system, primarily featuring views of the Atlantic Avenue Station. Includes images of workers posing in the shaftways, airlocks, and tunnels with train tracks and other construction elements, as well as a handsome posed group portrait of the engineers and inspectors in hats and bowties, and a couple outdoor scenes with large equipment. Silver prints, most measuring approximately 6 1/4x8 inches (15.9x20.3 cm.), and slightly smaller, and the reverse, one 3x4 inches (7.6x10.2 cm.), mounted recto/verso on stiff gray card, 17 with captions (sometimes including a date) and numeric notations in the negative.
