Additional Details

With a letter from noted scholar Sam Segal describing a comparison of these works to an album of tulips by Nicolas Robert held by the Nationalbibliothek in Vienna: "I believe that the tulip with inscription 'Superbe Maunilin' [present in this lot] on the reverse is possibly by Robert or one of his cooperators" ... "The other tulip is by a later hand, still 17th century and also French, very much in the style of Robert."
