Additional Details

From the Collection of Hermann Kummler; acquired directly from the family.

Although the photographs were made by a Kummler, a professional photographer who opened a studio in Pernambuco, the album has a family-like or snapshot feel, with loads of images depicting everyday life and native figures the Swiss retinue lived with and encountered.
