Additional Details

Both Howes and Shaw & Shoemaker call for 5 folding tables. However, most copies seem to have fewer. Perhaps the claim of 5 tables is a mistake, as the last table present is lettered E (though the other tables are unnumbered). Howes W433; Streeter Sale 1702 (3 folding tables); Tompkins 81 (only citing two folding tables of ciphers).
