Autograph Letter Signed, to Elizabeth Buffum Chace ("My Dear Miss Chace"), expecting a visit from her and her mother, commenting on the good health and travel plans of his own mother, anticipating an around-the-world trip, and mentioning the recent death of [Alexander Turney] Stewart, and promising noble actions. 4 pages, small 8vo, monogrammed stationery, written on a folded sheet; moderate soiling to upper half of terminal page (but still very legible), faint scattered staining (touching signature).
