Volume 1, number one and apparently all published. Bronze Ego was to be for Chicago's black community what New York Magazine is to New Yorkers. A combination newsy magazine with features like "Are U.S. Negroes Ashamed of Africans?" and listings of sports, theatre, movies, and current events in and around Chicago. The Sports editor was Jesse Owens of 1939 Olympic fame. African-American Newspapers and Periodicals, number 1205, listing only this first issue.
