Lucenda Daniels was a fashion designer and founded her business in Washington D. C. in 1955. Her salon, Lucenda''s was located at 722 Webster St, NW, where she served a mixed clientele of diplomatic and congressional clients as well as debutantes, and fashion-conscious D.C. matrons. Daniels was the president of NAFAD, the National Association of Fashion and Accessory Designers and was the recipient of numerous awards. She was a member of the Council of Negro Women and the American Negro Emancipation Committee.
