Additional Details

Includes coverage of the "Hotel-Motel, Restaurant, and Tavern World." This magazine launched in 1942 as "The Negro Traveler," as a product of the Green Book era, but continued for years after the Civil Rights Act. This issue features spotlights on travel in San Francisco, Trinidad, and Jamaica, a calendar of "Negro Conventions for 1969," a hotel directory, "places we recommend for a good time" in New York and Cleveland, and a discussion of the Afro-American Literature classes then becoming popular in college curricula. We find no other examples at auction.
