Giraud's "My First Winter in California: Inyo County Sheepman," page 20, where it has the caption "Alfred Giraud leaving for White Mountain sheep camp with pack animals in 1907."

Two sepia photographs of Death Valley-area wagon trains by Stephen H. Willard, each 9¼ x 11½ inches, untrimmed edges, with photographer's inked stamps in verso and manuscript captions: "Johnny O'Keefe" and "Bay Bridge Team en route Mojave to D Valley over Old Borax team road." Palm Springs, CA, November 1936.

Small archive on the Keane Wonder Mines. 3 items including report, packet of mine shaft plans, and memorandum book; moderate wear. The Keane Wonder Mines were near the present-day ghost town of Chloride City in Death Valley National Park, close to the Nevada line. This lot includes a 10-page report on Keane by Homer Wilson, written in 1914, but apparently typed several years later; a packet of hand-colored manuscript plans of the mine shafts, 10 sheets fastened with a brad in one corner, September 1926; and a memorandum book on the mine kept by F.A. Lawrence, [96] manuscript pages, 4¾ x 2¾ inches, 1934-1935.

Photo album of 1920s family vacations in Death Valley and throughout the West. 280 photographs and 11 Real Photo Postcards mounted on 48 album leaves. Oblong 4to, 7 x 11 inches, original limp cloth, moderate wear; minor staining to outer leaves, generally minor wear. The album shows family vacations in California, Oregon, Colorado, Nevada, Montana. Many of the images are from Ryan, CA; Travertine Springs; and other Death Valley locations, including the compiler's 1924 birthday party. Various places, 1924-1930 and undated.
