Additional Details

The earliest is from Los Angeles in March 1911, showing "Old San Gabriel River . . . during the high waters. Home of Ex-Governor Gage in distance, taken from remains of Foster Bridge." One from April shows a "boat house on Montezuma Slough where I took the launch when going from Suisun," northeast of San Francisco. From 13 May we have one shot of "Stern wheel on the steamer Navajo, taken from the deck of the vessel while on trip up the Sacramento River from Rio Vista." 4 of them are from the wild waterfront near San Francisco on 27 May, including the Mile Rock lighthouse and "cavalrymen riding into the surf near the Cliff House." Finally, 4 are of rock formations on the beach at La Jolla near San Diego. One beach view is uncaptioned.
