An important photographic rarity. Houseworth was best known for producing stereograph views of California, and this album contains 200 of his stereo halves. The images are grouped topically, with numerous street views of San Francisco, large trees in Calaveras and Mariposa, views of Yosemite Valley, views from and of the Central Pacific Railroad, mining, and Lake Tahoe. One image depicts "Chinese miners on their travels." Cowan 1933, page 468. One copy in WorldCat and none found at auction since 1973.
