Additional Details

This book of forms was produced by Bradford & Bradford, with offices in the desert mining centers of Tonopah, NV; Goldfield, NV; and Greenwater, CA. The front pastedown gives "Directions for using the Bradford Location Blanks," to account for the slightly different claim regulations in Nevada and California.

The 14 claims recorded in this book are all in Inyo County's Greenwater Mining District in the heart of Death Valley. Each claim gives the claim's name, its location, and the claimant. The forms are perforated for easy removal, and several in the front of the volume have already been removed. These forms were designed to be used by the mining companies to assist in filing claims; they were not in themselves official records. These forms were all completed by J.L. Hardwick and/or J.W. Hickey. The claims include White Fox Saratoga Lode, Last Hope Lode, Red Cross Greenwater Lode, Big Fire Lode, Rebel Lode, Bluebell Lode, Devil Lode, Post Office Lode, and Maverick Lode.
