Original 4-panel "Krazy Kat" daily comic strip featuring Ignatz the Mouse and Krazy Kat, published August 30, 1932, with King Features Syndicate, Inc. copyright pastedown in first panel. Ink over graphite on Bristol board. 114x521 mm; 4 1/2x20 1/2 inches, on 7 1/4x22 3/4-inch board. Signed "Herriman" and dated 8-30 in fourth panel; recto bears a circled number 2 in top margin and verso bears the title "A Boomerang!" in blue pencil on verso. Archivally tipped to window matte and framed.

Additional Details

A classic instance of Ignatz getting his comeuppance after provoking old Uncle Kat. The surface displays the cartoonist's work through some ghosted pencil evidence of Herriman's changed wording and visible pen nib workings of the paper texture for effect.
