Baynes. 4to, original 1/4 cloth-backed boards, pictorial label mounted on front board, spine cracked and fraying, boards scuffed and worn, printed instructions mounted on front pastedown, publisher's advert for The Sciagraphicon mounted to rear pastedown. Contents consist of 7 circular original hand-colored lithographic plates with apertures for viewing laid in loose, each 245mm diameter, for an optical toy; views include a dancing couple, a cat chasing a bird, a rocking horse and skipping rope, a rat escaping a hole, a blue bird flying over roses, a dining glutton, and one plate on slightly thinner stock, collaged, showing a rat leaping into a man's mouth, two of the disks have images which extend beyond the circle, but these parts are worn with some loss; lacking the wood, brass and ivory handle.
