A group of 19 striking photographs depicting daily life in China.
With scenes of street vendors, including a barber cutting hair on a busy sidewalk, and other intimate and candid portraits of people dressed in traditional clothing, going about their daily business, in what appears to be the streets of a small mountain town. Silver prints, each image measuring approximately 10 1/2x13 1/2 inches (26.7x34.3 cm.), some slightly smaller, and the reverse, each in a period mat, some with exhibition labels for the Smithsonian Institution and Brooklyn Museum affixed to mat verso. Circa 1952
