Few of these photographs are captioned, and the compiler has not been identified. Included are photographs of cartoons, a photograph of Chinese execution by beheading, snapshots of the compiler's hometown sweetheart, tourist images of Laoshan, and more. The compiler was certainly American naval personnel, possibly on the long-running Yangtze Patrol, America's main naval operation in China during this period.
