One of P.T. Barnum's acts, often presented next to the "midgets" to aggrandize his already prodigious size. Born a mulatto to American parents, Goshen was passed off by Barnum as "The Palestine Giant. . . a worthy descendant of the Brohdignagian race." When he died, a special coffin had to be constructed measuring eight feet long and three feet wide.
