Snapshot album entitled "The Circus Snap Book #9," with approximately 160 photographs of circus performers (including Bozo the Clown and elephants, lions, tigers, bears, kangaroos, and llamas), and a spectrum of colorful behind-the-scenes images of performers and animal handlers, scenes of band wagons, prop trucks, and fans and managers. The album belonged to the clown George A. Lamphear, of North Stonington, Connecticut; the photographs, each of which is captioned, identify cities and different circuses, and may have been shot by him. Includes Mills Bros., King Bros., RB & B&B, Warner Bros., Robbins Bros., Diano Bros., Clyde Beatty, Hunt Bros., Cole Bros., and Wallace Bros. setting up. Silver prints, various sizes but most are 3 1/2x4 1/2 inches (8.9x11.4 cm.), and cornered on the album pages. Oblong folio, red leatherette; ties. 1952-1955
