Group of 75 photographs of circus acts and actors, most from Ringling Brothers, Barnum & Bailey shows, documenting everything, from animal acts that include high-stepping tigers and snarling lions, elephants on parade, bedecked horses and their riders, and several morose hippopotami; to highwire performers, jugglers, and clowns; crowds before the bigtop; the circus train, and much more. Silver prints, 48 are 9 1/4x 7 inches or the reverse and 27 are 13 1/2 inches or the reverse and slightly smaller, many with a Roland Butler Collection hand stamp on verso or mount verso. 1910s-50s
