A collection of rare contemporary broadsides, handbills, etc., dealing with the murders of various Civil Rights activists in Mississippi and Alabama, and the violent reaction to integration and desegregation in the South in general. Included is a mimeographed, handmade poster, "A Year Ago," for a demonstration on the anniversary of the murder of Michael Schwerner, James Chaney and Andrew Goodman, "Race Hatred Rampage in Mississippi," a talk by Rev. Morris H. Tynes on the Emmett Till Case, "Hear the Mississippi Story, Attend NAACP Memorial Meeting for Emmett Till," "The Alpha Phi Alphi Sigma chapter Present Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr, pastor Dexter Avenue Baptist Church, Friday evening, March 23, 1956," "Mississippi Murder," "Demand President Eisenhower Act to end Alabama Injustice, 'Write Ike Today'" and so on.
